Advocates For Recovery Through Medicine - non-profit consumer education and advocacy organization for methadone and buprenorphine patients.

Allies in Recovery (AIR) - the only community organization in the country dedicated to serving family and friends of those with addiction problems. AIR fills a large and critical gap by providing these individuals with quality science-based family trainings, such as CRAFT (Community Reinforcement and Family Training), with mutual support, and with help locating and accessing treatment for their loved ones. Located in Western Massachusetts.

Anabolic Steroid Abuse - a service of the National Institute on Drug Abuse.

CSAP - The Center for Substance Abuse Prevention is a unique federally funded program designed to disseminate information, increase dialog, and promote community empowerment to combat alcohol and other drug problems.

CSAT - The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment of the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration (SAMHSA) is mandated to expand the availability of effective treatment and recovery services for alcohol and drug problems.

Families Anonymous - a group of concerned relatives and friends whose lives have been adversely affected by a loved one's addiction to alcohol or drugs. Every one of us has made the same statement at one time or another... "But I'm not the one who needs help!" It was obvious that someone else was the one with problems. Many of us were annoyed or shocked that the other person seemed to refuse help, maybe even resented our efforts to help.

Marijuana Anonymous - a fellowship of people who share their experiences and strength in hope to help others recover from marijuana addiction, using the same basic 12 Steps of Recovery founded by Alcoholics Anonymous.

Massachusetts Substance Abuse Information and Education HELPLINE - trained, volunteer information education and referral specialists are available to listen and help you find the right services for your situation.

MOMS - Mothers on Methadone - supports and educates mothers on MMT, Methadone Maintenance Treatment, or those dependent on opioids for pain management. It is based at Kent Hospital in Rhode Island.

The National Institute on Alcohol Abuse and Alcoholism - a federal agency that supports and conducts research on the causes, treatment and prevention of alcoholism and other alcohol-related problems.

Nicotine Anonymous - a fellowship of people who share their experiences and strength in hope to help others recover from nicotine addiction, using the same basic 12 Steps of Recovery founded by Alcoholics Anonymous.

Narcotics Anonymous - a fellowship of people who share their experiences and strength in hope to help others recover from addiction to narcotics, using the same basic 12 Steps of Recovery founded by Alcoholics Anonymous.

National Institute on Drug Abuse - supports over 85% of the world's research on the aspects of drug abuse and addiction.

National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence, Inc. - a voluntary health organization providing, help, education, information, and hope in the fight against substance abuse.

Somerville Cares About Prevention - a local substance abuse coalition in Somerville, MA which is made up of youth, parents, residents in recovery, local businesses, local agencies, treatment providers, law enforcement, city & school officials and many volunteers.
