My recovery journey started in 1995 with the support of my parents, family, and friends. However, it was not until 2006 when I learned about making a wellness recovery action plan, that I was able to develop skills and supports to sufficiently address my multifaceted challenges. I am eternally thankful for the incredible peers support that I have been blessed to have received over the years. It has greatly impacted my ability to heal from painful experiences and to abstain from alcohol and other drugs on a daily basis since 2007.

A.R.E.A.S. Facilitator

I have been in recovery since 2014 and worked extremely hard to get to where I am today. I am certified by the MBSACC after completing all courses for recovery coaching. I overcame my own addiction by utilizing my large support group who showed me the way to realize that recovery does work. I believe that there are multiple pathways to recovery. For some, this may be counseling, faith-based groups, meditation or simply family support. I have a strong passion to support others in the community struggling with this disease. My goal is to advocate and educate those willing to put in the work and help them to develop their own voice and overcome barriers that are preventing them from achieving goals. I have faith that long-term permanent recovery is always possible.
